DENIS DAILLEUX 1958 Angers, France

The naked body in photography: Denis Dailleux By marmteo on August 19, 2024 Denis Dailleux (Angers, France, 1958) is a great internationally renowned photojournalist whose work stands out, first in Egypt and then in Ghana. In Galerie 127 we read: "With the delicacy that characterizes him, he practices an apparently calm, incredibly demanding photography, crossed by permanent doubts and moved by the essential personal relationship that he will maintain with this - and those - that he will install in the square of his device. His passion for people, for others, naturally led him to develop the portrait as a preferred mode of representation of those in whom he had the interest, the desire to get closer to what they were." From his Egyptian stage we highlight his series "Mother and Child". There are no nudes. The half-naked children are confronted by a heavily clothed mother, revealing - along with mother-child love - the generational difference and the different cultural vision of the male and female bodies in Muslim society.El cuerpo desnudo en fotografía: Denis Dailleux
