Duncan Grant or Duncan James Corrowr Grant (Rothiemurchus, 1885 - Aldermaston, 1978) was a British painter, decorator and designer.[1] The son of a military man, he spent the first years of his life in India and Myanmar. At the age of nine he moved to England to live with his uncle, Sir Richard Strachey. Already during his studies at St. Paul's School, London, he distinguished himself for his artistic talent, which allowed him to receive private drawing lessons. Later, between 1902 and 1904, he trained at the Westminster School of Art.
